Aaron Gwin interviewed by Kirt Voreis
 | You can't race downhill without thinking about being fit or just being totally fine with getting smoked, so racing there kind of opens your eyes to needing to train. - Aaron Gwin on the Fontana DH course |
By winning the Windham, New York, World Cup round Gwin made it three in a row and four for the season. He also won the first US gold at a World Cup at home since Missy Giove and Shaun Palmer in '99 at Big Bear. Gwinning, indeed. He finished the season with five World Cup wins, the most by a male racer, and an incredible feat considering that he broke onto the World Cup scene a few seasons ago after riding downhill bikes for roughly eight months.
